Man today was that day. I don’t mean quitting but I mean a mental break. You can work out, do yoga or whatever stress relievers you can but eventually things are going to pile up on you. Today was that day for me. Aside the fact that it’s been getting nice out, I have just felt cooped up and the daily 4 mile walk with the dog wasn’t going to cut it. We loaded up and just drove. The one thing I need to do more is explore the area I’m in. I’m here for a reason because it’s I’ve always loved it and there’s literally a ton to see in my own backyard. So me and the dog explored today. No agenda, no time frame, no destination. You gotta do this otherwise you can burn out really quickly. All those “keep grinding” gurus are full of shit because they’ll tell you that while they’re on their boat out on the lake. All while feeling the same way I did today.
Guess what it’s ok to take that time! Reset and get back to grinding. If you don’t man your productivity might as well be thrown out the window and you may as well just got burn off some steam. You’ll be glad once you did. We all can work as hard as we want and as much as we want however you got to enjoy some things as well and not worry for a moment. To quote Van Wilder, “ worrying is like a rocking chair, it’ll give you something to do but it won’t get you anywhere. Write that down”.
